Carolyn Collins Petersen, a space and astronomy writer and voice-over artist from Nederland, Colorado, will lead a discussion and audience Q&A among internationally recognized science and science-fiction writers. Our panelists are:
Charles Choi is a New York-based science journalist, with articles in a wide range of publications including the New York Times, and a science-fiction author.
Erin Macdonald is a gravitational-wave astrophysicist turned writer, producer and science advisor (to Star Trek among others) in Los Angeles. In other words, a rocket scientist by day and a warp-drive expert by night.
Robert J. Sawyer is a Hugo- and Nebula-award winning science fiction writer who lives and works near Toronto. The Ottawa Citizen called him "the dean of Canadian science fiction."
Anne Simon is a virologist at the University of Maryland who served as advisor to the X-Files, including authoring the book The Real Science Behind the X-Files.
