About the Event

Join the Science Writers Association of the Rocky Mountains for our second annual holiday party! We're celebrating with a science trivia and networking virtual event on 12/9 at 7 pm. Open only to SWARM members and people on SWARM's contact list.

The evening will be hosted by Ann Marie Awad, fabulous and fun former Colorado Public Radio reporter and host of "On Something."

  • How many hearts does an octopus have?
  • Silver's atomic number is 47--what is gold's?
  • What is the longest river that originates in the Rocky Mountains?

Not sure? It doesn't matter! Winner goes (virtually) home with bragging rights, and the rest of us leave with a few new knowledge nuggets with which to bore friends and family! Not to mention lots of great fun and connections with other science communicators. We'll close out the evening with a toast to the successes (and challenges!) of 2021.

Any questions, contact sciwrirockies@gmail.com.
