SWARM holiday party

Join us in Denver on the evening of Sunday, December 3, to network with other Rockies-area science writers and celebrate the season. Tickets are $40 for paid-up SWARM members and $50 for guests of paid-up members. Make sure you're logged into this site, in the upper right-hand corner, to obtain the member pricing options. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. MT on Wednesday, November 29.

You can expect amazing food, a wine tasting and tour, SWARM giveaways, and a raffle! We do hope you'll join us for a night of laughter and community. Feel free to wear your most festive and/or ugly holiday sweater!

The location is the luxurious Balistreri Vineyards, 1946 E. 66th St. in Denver. If you were with us last year you'll know how gorgeous this place is. The buffet-style food includes an antipasti station of meats/cheeses/vegetables/nuts/olives, followed by a mushroom chicken dish and brown butter sage pasta with winter squash and caramelized onions. Sides are roasted broccoli and cauliflower with lemon and Parmesan, and a winter salad of mixed greens, candied walnuts, goat cheese, roasted beets and cranberry vinaigrette. For dessert, chocolate mousse cake and strawberry tiramisu! Attendees will have the chance to taste wine and choose a complimentary glass of their favorite, and can also purchase additional glasses or bottles to take home (they make great holiday gifts! Balistreri specializes in natural wines). Non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary to attendees.

There is plenty of free parking at the winery; if you will be taking public transportation let us know by December 1 at sciwrirockies@gmail.com if you'll need a ride to/from the RTD stop which is some ways distant.
